At Cantina Del Vesuvio, our commitment to organic farming goes beyond certification—it’s a philosophy. We cultivate our vineyards without synthetic fertilizers, pesticides, herbicides, or fungicides, preserving the natural balance of the land.
We are proudly certified organic under the strictest standards—ICEA in E.U. and the FDA in the U.S.—ensuring full compliance with rigorous regulations. Even when we ship to the U.S., we add no sulfites, maintaining the purity and integrity of our wines. The result? Pure, health-conscious wines that express the true character of Mount Vesuvius’ volcanic terroir—naturally vibrant in every glass.
Lacryma Christi DOC – The Legend in a Glass
According to legend, when Lucifer was cast out of Heaven, he stole a piece of paradise and dropped it into the Gulf of Naples. Recognizing the beauty of this stolen land, Christ wept, and where His tears fell on the slopes of Mount Vesuvius, vineyards began to flourish.
From those sacred soils was born Lacryma Christi – The Tears of Christ.
For centuries, this wine has carried the soul of Naples: volcanic, passionate, and eternal.
Today, we craft our Lacryma Christi DOC with the same devotion, using native grapes of Caprettone and Piedirosso grown in mineral-rich volcanic soil, just as tradition has dictated for generations. Each sip is a taste of history, myth, and the Vesuvian spirit.
